Movie Review: Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan

Genre: Action/Thriller | Director: Ali Abbas Zafar
Cast: Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Manushi Chhillar, Sonakshi Sinha

⭐ Verdict: A disappointing mess that wastes its star power, budget, and potential with poor execution.

Plot (Spoiler-Free):

Two elite soldiers (Akshay & Tiger) team up to stop a rogue scientist (Prithviraj) who threatens India with advanced AI-powered warfare. Expect high-tech gadgets, explosions, and zero logic.

✅ What (Barely) Worked:

  • Prithviraj Sukumaran: The only saving grace—his menacing villain act is convincing.
  • Scale & Visuals: Big-budget set pieces (though poorly utilized).

❌ What Failed Miserably:

  • Direction & Screenplay:
    • Ali Abbas Zafar fumbles what could’ve been a slick action thriller.
    • No coherent storytelling—just a series of loud, disjointed sequences.
  • Action Choreography:
    • Tons of guns, explosions, and vehicles, but no well-shot, memorable fights.
    • Tiger Shroff’s skills are wasted on generic, weightless CGI-heavy scenes.
  • Performances:
    • Akshay Kumar sleepwalks through his role (yet another generic patriotic act).
    • Tiger Shroff has zero chemistry with anyone, including the action scenes.
    • Manushi & Sonakshi are glorified props with nothing to do.
  • Logic & Writing:
    • AI plotline is laughably bad—feels like a 90s B-movie with a bigger budget.
    • Forced patriotism and cringe dialogues (“India ke liye kuch bhi karega!”).

Only Redeeming Moment:

Prithviraj’s monologue about warfare evolution—the only scene with some gravitas.

Rating: 2/5 (Watch only if you’re a die-hard Akshay/Tiger fan with very low expectations.)

Final Words:

Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan is the definition of wasted potential—big stars, big budget, but zero soul, logic, or entertainment. Even mindless action films need competent direction, which this sorely lacks. Skip unless you love trainwreck cinema.
