Resuming discussions with Netflix on the OTT agreement for Laal Singh Chaddha, the handshake was agreed to at a lower price of about Rs. 90 crore..

According to accounts, Aamir Khan, a superstar, asked Netflix for 150 crores to stream Laal Singh Chadha. Aamir asked that Laal Singh Chaddha debut on Netflix six months after its theatrical debut because he was considering a Chinese distribution. After the movie fiasco, Netflix even lowered its offer to Rs. 50 crores from its initial offer of Rs. 80–90 crores. As a result, the agreement never happened since Aamir refused to accept that sum and demanded Rs. 125 crores as the ultimate payment. The source had said that Network18-backed Voot, whose Viacom18 Studios also co-produced the high-profile story, was preparing to release Laal Singh Chaddha.

Officials from Netflix and Aamir Khan picked up their discussions once more, and this time they were successful in reaching an agreement. They understood that they might both gain from this agreement. For Aamir Khan, Netflix’s sizable global subscriber base will aid in the movie’s global distribution. Laal Singh Chaddha has reportedly done exceptionally well for Netflix worldwide, indicating that a segment of the class audience has accepted the movie. Additionally, the movie has received a heavy promotion from Viacom18 Studios’ parent company, Paramount Pictures.

Both parties reached an agreement on the pricing. The Rs. 125 crores that Aamir Khan wanted from the streaming service have not been provided. At the same time, they didn’t even want Rs. 80 crores as they had in the past. The cost has been kept secret and is somewhere in the center. According to information obtained by Bollywood Hungama, the price is roughly Rs. 90 crores. The contract will most likely be signed this week, and a declaration will follow soon.
