In the eagerly anticipated third season of the legal criminal drama web series Criminal Justice, titled Criminal Justice: Adhura Sach, Mirzapur actor Pankaj Tripathi will reprise his role as attorney Madhav Mishra. Pankaj Tripathi recently talked about reprising his part in the series and admitting how his character was fairly close to him in real life. This comes as the producers aroused the interest of the viewers by releasing an exciting teaser and trailer of the program.
In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, Pankaj Tripathi discussed making a third appearance in the series and noted that while remembering the lines was difficult, getting into character was not. He continued by describing how Madhav Mishra was like him and adding that it had been him ten to twelve years prior. He admitted that it was difficult for him to recall the intricate legalese and that it took a lot of effort for him to be able to improvise on the moment the way he does in his movies.
“The tough part is remembering the lines. Madhav Mishra is very similar to me. In fact, it’s me 10-12 years ago. So getting into the character isn’t that difficult. But I can’t remember the lines. That’s a genuine problem and that is what requires a lot of hard work. The thing is I like to say my lines in the form of a conversation. Sometimes, I make slight changes on the spot. But here, in court, there are legal terms and you can’t improvise. So, it is tough but then that is what you are hired for,” he told Hindustan Times.
Criminal Justice 3, directed by Rohan Sippy, is an Indian version of the drama series of the same name from BBC Studios, which previously starred Vikrant Massey and Kirti Kulhari in the key roles. On April 5, 2019, Criminal Justice Season One was made available, and it quickly became popular. The second season was likewise published in December 2020 and received overwhelmingly positive reviews from both reviewers and fans.
