For Bollywood What can be more promising than taking a successful movie, Updating it, and delivers in a new packet. Sometimes Bollywood remakes old classical movies with a new twist. Examples like Agneepath, Don, Devdas, Dev D, Pati Patni Aur Woh, and Love Aaj Kal. Sometimes movies represented us as a sequel but feel like a remake of its original like David Dhawan’s Judwa 2, Houseful Series, Dhamal franchise 1920 London, and the list goes on.
The Remake Ratio of Bollywood is too bad where most of the Remakes were extremely bad films like Varun Dhawan and Sara Ali Khan starer Coolie no.1 and Bhumi Pednekar Starrer “Durgamati” Parineeti Chopra starer “The girl on the train” Some Remake is good but the list of good is very few like Kabir Singh is a good remake of “Arjun Reddy”. Bollywood treated songs as well were many Remakes spoils the original song. Not Bollywood remakes movies Other Regional films makes remakes too. Like Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari’s Film Nil Battey Sannata Remade in both Tamil and Telugu languages While Tamil Film is directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari. Ayushman Khurana starer film Andhadhun remade in Tamil named as “Maestro” Gujarati film ”Ventilator” is also a remake of Marathi film” ventilator” but Other Regional films remake few films while Bollywood like “1 Saal mein minimum 10 to Banani hai’
The main sources of Bollywood Are doing South Korean remakes while Salman khan’s Radhe is a remake of “The Outlaws”, Mohit Suri’s Awarapan, Another Mohit Suri’s film Ek villain but both the films aren’t great but good ones. Sujoy Ghosh’s film Badla was the remake of the Spanish film “the invisible guest”.
So, Now audiences are getting matured and knew there will be works only Content oriented and Fresh concept movies and not remakes which are made for the only purpose of Money making.
In the future, we will see many Remakes of classic films, Foreign Films, and Other Regional films as well.
